Description

Z Track straight isolating track. Length 55 mm / 2-3/16″. Terminal clips included. One rail is gapped (which is a nice short way of saying insulated) in the middle.

Charlie’s Tips:

  • Combine this with a track piece Marklin 8503 (also 55mm long) to replace a standard straight track piece Marklin 8500.
  • To create a stop section, you need two of these, or use a insulating railjoiner at the other end of the stop section.
  • Use Marklin 72730 to control that stop section, the two wires from this track feed to one of the 4 ports.
  • If you use this as stop track in combination with a signal, you need to use the momentary switch Marklin 72720 (the same as used for your turnouts) with a relay Marklin 7244. The relay can control the track and the signal through its multiple outputs.
